Dana gave me a great piece of advice: meet your kids halfway. She suggested showing up to carpool with a small bite of chocolate, saying kids actually need the small boost of sugar and it shows them you are thinking of their wants, too. It has made it easier when I’m asking them to try things they might not want to when they know I am on their team.

I travel a LOT and I am a “discerning” (AKA Picky) eater. I don’t like raw food meaning no salad or uncooked fruits or vegetables so it was hard to eat healthy while traveling.
